Probably the best cantonese food in the neighborhood. Everyone was very friendly and nice. The food was wonderful definitely made to order, not premade and heated up. I recommend doing a few dumpling orders coupled with ginger fried rice entre. Also, the house tea is awesome.

The dim sum and food here authentic. Service is efficient and fast, and as of right now, I feel like it is the best option for Chinese food on the UES. It is also one of the more pricey options but the extra are worth it. My kids ...

Right when I walked in, I was greeted, seated, and given a layout of the menu and what was most popular. Inside is very comfortable and simplistic but elegant, and the service is my new standard. The food, my favorite part, was immaculate ...

The menu at Cafe Evergreen is where the magic truly happens. From my culinary journey, I was captivated by their Steamed Dim Sum. The Shrimp and Scallop Dumplings were a standout, boasting delicate skin that enveloped a harmonious mix of flavors. For just $11, these dumplings are more than just a dish—they are a testament to the skill and creativity of the kitchen. I also relished the Har Kow, the classic shrimp dumplings, which were equally delightful.

As for the classic dishes, I gravitated towards the Old Fashion Chicken Chow Mein. This stir-fried noodle dish tasted like a nostalgic embrace, with its tender chicken and perfectly cooked noodles, all enveloped in a savory sauce. At $22, this dish is a hearty choice that warms the soul.

If you're in the mood for something lighter, consider the Filet of Seabass with Ginger and Scallion, priced at $33. The fish was perfectly cooked, highlighted by the gentle flavors of ginger and scallion—simple yet sophisticated.

Cafe Evergreen is not just a restaurant; it's an experience. Whether you're seeking a lively family dinner, a quick takeout option, or a leisurely weekend brunch, this culinary venue checks all the boxes. With its moderate noise level, good for kids policy, and inviting atmosphere, it's a place where you can unwind and savor the richness of Chinese cuisine.
